Planning in communities on the United States/Mexico Border is a unique challenge given the special economic, cultural, political, and environmental relationships—some of which know no boundaries. This session will discuss the issues and approaches that are particular to community planning along the border region, with examples from both sides of the border. Learn from the experiences of border towns such as Tijuana and San Diego, as well as border-influenced towns such as San Antonio. Hear a bi-national perspective from representatives of both urban and rural communities.
