The downturn in residential real estate and the broader economic recession has provoked feverish talk about opportunities in distressed residential land. With few transactions and seemingly unending economic turmoil, has the opportunity been more talk than reality? How are land transactions being accomplished in today's tough economic environment, and how might this change in the near- and long-term? Who are the buyers and sellers that will make the market? What are current and prospective deal terms for equity and (elusive) debt? Where are the money-making opportunities today in residential land? This session will explore a variety of perspectives from investment, development and home building sectors and provoke alternative approaches to the debate.
