Arizona leads the nation in growth rate whether measured in population or land under development. The state is expected to add over 5 million people by 2030. The majority of the population resides in three contiguous counties joining metropolitan Phoenix to Tucson, one of the dozen megapolitans in the US. Join this panel of experts in discussing the future of Arizona, its many challenges and opportunities. Where and how will this rapid growth be accommodated? Can Arizona accommodate the population and maintain or even increase its desirability? The patterns for future development, the role of State Trust Land, the importance of water technologies, emerging economic development opportunities, and the challenges of serving the incredible growth in population will be discussed. Learn from Arizona's past mistakes and emerging opportunities by attending this lively session.
