Times are changing when the latest children's book looks at kids growing up in the city. The 0 to 5 age group is the fastest growing segment of the population in Manhattan. While every city is not as mature as Manhattan some of today's young couples are not as prepared to move to the suburbs as previous generations. How do cities and developers address this emerging trend? This session will explore the 5 traits of the urban tribe and what makes them different from their suburban counterparts, and then provide specific examples of how developers and cities are coming up with creative solutions to space-planning, recreation, education, and public amenities.
